Top Ten Tips For Selling on eBay

Sellers who are new to eBay usually have lots of questions. Trying to sell on eBay seems like a simple, straightforward process, and yet some sellers are much more successful than others - even if their products are identical. Here are a few eBay tips to improve a product's sale potential.

Do your research.
This is one of the most ignored eBay tips. Too many sellers immediately post a product on eBay without looking around the site for similar items. Just a few minutes' research before trying to sell on eBay helps sellers know how much their product can fetch and how much bidding to expect.

Write a headline that sticks.
This is what gets potential buyers to click on an eBay listing. Using a sticky headline to sell on eBay pulls a product out of the cloud of competition. Out of all the eBay tips, headline crafting may be the finest art form and can produce the most successful results.

Don't skimp on the text.
This is probably the most important of all the eBay tips listed on the web. In an online environment, text generates traffic and moves products. Sellers who take the time to craft quality text have more success trying to sell on eBay.

Mention any flaws.
And then mention them again. Any seasoned seller knows that being forthright - even overstating any potential problems with the product - helps boost buyer confidence.

Write original copy.
Don't underestimate the importance of eBay tips like this one. Use original copy (rather than the cut-and-paste variety) when preparing to sell on eBay. Potential buyers know cut-and-paste copy when they see it, and it points them towards other listings.

Perfect the photo.
This is always one of the top listed eBay tips. Buyers want to see real, up-close pictures of the product they may buy. Before trying to sell on eBay, take time to take high-quality pictures that boost buyer confidence.

Know the ins and outs of shipping.
Before starting to sell on eBay, look into all the shipping methods available. Note the product's dimensions and weight and then choose the best shipping package. Be specific in the listing concerning shipping cost and timetables to maximize this edition of eBay tips.

Diversify the payment options.
The goal of anyone trying to sell on eBay is to generate sales by investing in their product's online image. Many eBay tips lists recommend that buyers use Paypal, credit cards and as many other payment options as possible.

Be transparent.
One of the eBay tips that often gets overlooked is coloring in the human side of a listing. Some sellers have success by mentioning the back story of an item they're trying to sell on eBay. A surprisingly low price sounds suspiciously like a faulty product, so don't be afraid to explain why.

Focus on feedback.
No list of eBay tips would be complete without mentioning feedback. Positive feedback instills customer confidence and sets a seller apart from the competition. All experienced sellers use well-engineered text to sell on eBay.

How to Get Up to 35% Bing Cashback on eBay

First of all, the eBay Bing Cashback program basically gives buyers a percentage of the selling price of the eBay back. This cashback is often given instantly, but sometimes they put a 60 day hold before releasing the funds to your PayPal account. You can use the Bing Cashback program on eBay to get cashback from your eBay purchases using the Buy It Now feature. The eBay cashback rate have gone as high as 35%, but currently it is at 8%. The cashback percentage changes randomly. No one knows when it will change.
In order to take advantage of this eBay cashback program, you need to have an eBay account (obviously), a PayPal account, and a Bing Cashback account. You must also add/tie your PayPal account to your Bing Cashback account. You also need to pay for your eBay purchases using PayPal even when there is a third-party checkout system.
Here is how to get Bing Cashback on eBay:
1. Find the eBay Buy It Now listing that you would like to buy.
2. Open a new tab in your browser (CTRL + T).
3. Go to http://www.bing.com/
4. Type "Buy It Now" in the search field and press ENTER.
5. You should see some sponsored links at the top of the page, and one of these should be for eBay. It should have a ($) dollar sign symbol next to the link, and says "Bing cashback."
6. Click on this link and it will take you to eBay. You now have 60 minutes to complete your purchase in order to get the eBay Cashback.
7. Go back to the eBay Buy It Now listing/item that you want to buy and reload/refresh the page (hit the F5 key).
8. Once the page has reloaded, you should see a "Microsft cashback" logo at the top with a dollar sign and a percentage of how much eBay Bing Cashback you will be getting.
9. Purchase the item, and make sure during the checkout that you see the "Microsoft cashback" logo. Remember to pay with your PayPal account.
10. After a few minutes (it can take up to 48 hours sometimes, but usually minutes) you should receive an email and a message in your eBay account saying that you have qualified for eBay Bing Cashback. This is usually an instant cashback, and you will see the money in your PayPal account shortly after, but if not an instant cashback, they will release the money to your PayPal account after 60 days.

iPods Wholesale - Follow the Instant Profit Road and Start Making Some Dollars

So getting from zero to hero online is in no way an easy feat. Everything in life has a learning curve, this in essence is also true with selling online. It is important first to go through a stage of trial and error until you land on your feet. Well in the same way this can be applied to selling on the internet. This is particularly true with buying and selling iPods wholesale.
Firstly there is the massive disadvantage when you start online of not having a clue where to start looking for suppliers. In fact to some it may seem impossible. From experience I know that it is paramount to stick with it as there is literally a supplier for every product out there. These include even some of the most obscure products.
Buying low and selling high has always been an excellent way to start a business. This is particularly true when it comes to selling on eBay and with selling iPods it is no different. Starting an eBay business especially in these times is one of the best decisions you might make. However, there are a few things you might need to take into consideration.
These include but are not limited to:
  • How much you are looking to make
  • Are you willing to spend a few hours a week or a few hours a day on your business
  • What are you willing to do to succeed
The last point is a fundamental piece of the puzzle, it is also where many people fail. They are not willing to act upon what they know. They just end up giving up and wondering what if I had acted upon this. We both know what it takes to succeed. I am sure this is not going to come as a shock to you but selling online takes a certain amount of work. The first month can be a killer, there is so many things to organise, you need to make sure it is worth your time. Once you rectify all the questions in your mind it becomes plain sailing from there.
The other aspect I should mention is that starting an eBay business is incredibly exciting. You get to place an item up for sale and let as many people as possible bid on your item. The thrill that you get when you see the words Notification of Payment Received are incredible. In fact, I have received that notice twice in the 5 minutes it has taken me to write this article. eBay can be a numbers game and buying iPods wholesale can lift your business to new and extraordinary heights.

How to Find the Best Selling Items on eBay in 2010

eBay is a constantly changing auction website. What is popular one month can slip down the pile toward obscurity by the next. With that in mind it can be difficult to identify the best selling items on eBay in 2010; after all, providing a list of the items that are currently flying off the shelves would soon be out of date!
It's good to know that there are some corners of the market that seem constantly popular, such as electrical goods and brand name clothing, but in order to stay on top of the game you need to know how to find the best selling items on eBay in 2010.

The internet is often where people will go to find bargains on products that they would otherwise have purchased from the high street. Therefore it is possible to find inspiration regarding the best selling items on eBay in 2010 by what is selling well in your local town or city. Have a wander around some shops, keeping your eyes peeled for special offers on popular products. If nothing else, ambling around your local shopping center could provide some much needed inspiration as to a particular area in which you would like to sell on eBay. After all, there are popular niche markets that you could stumble upon in almost any category, so the best place to start is often with an area in which you are interested.

With your high street research completed you should now take to the computer and load up some large retail websites such as Amazon. Amazon is a useful website because it will inform you of the percentage of people that bought a particular item that you are looking at instead of the item's competitors. This can really help you to narrow down specific products that are particularly popular. If you aren't at the stage of finding items yet, you should also be aware that on the right hand side of the Amazon homepage is a Bestsellers list, allowing you to look into each category to see exactly what is selling the most successfully.
Now that you've done both your high street and online research, it's time to head over to eBay itself. Use the free tools provided by eBay, eBay Pulse and the Advanced Search, to discover whether the items that are selling well on the high street and Amazon are also selling well on eBay. In searching around the website you should also start to develop an awareness of other competition that could be faced within one particular area of the market.

Your search for the best selling items on eBay in 2010 has taken you to the high street, to online retailers and to eBay itself. If you have taken the time to perform this vital market research you will be well placed to launch some very successful auctions into areas where people are really spending money. But always remember the changing nature of the internet and auction websites; a successful eBay businessperson's research is never finished!
